New Happy Kayley

It has been a while since we added a post. Sorry about that, just busy as usual. But I have a moment to update before I head to class. Kayley is getting bigger of course, and is getting a little personality more and more. She is smiling all the time and even giggles sometimes! Yesterday Alyssa and I took her to the mall and while strolling along a lady at the Kiddie Kandids place asked if she could take some pictures of Kayley. She offered us a free 8x10 if we let her. Kayley was in a good mood so we said what the heck and did it. The pictures came out great! We had the place email all the pictures to us so that we could have them in case we wanted to buy prints. The pictures you see here are some of the poses. She is surely our little princess.

School is going well. Same old thing of course. My snowboarding class is a lot of fun. I will post some pictures and videos of that soon. I am to the point were I can board down the intermediate slopes. I am one level down from the black diamonds. I wont be attempting that for a while though. It is a great feeling once you get to the top of a mountain and look around. The view is amazing! Then, tearing down the side of the mountain is even a better feeling. Its amazing to look up the mountain and say to yourself , "wow, I just came down that on a board!" What a fun skill. Alyssa is getting geared up to go as well. hopefully I can get some pics posted soon.

Alyssa and I are planning on going down to Ramah in a few weeks. It will be nice to get a break from school. I am sure Nana and Papa Ray are excited to see Kayley. We just hope the weather is good so that we can make it down safe.

End of the semester joy

Fall semester has come to a close. Finals are over, the stress has been relieved, and Alyssa and I can finally show our little one some playful attention as apposed to just burping her and sitting her back in her chair so we can continue studying. On the 24th Kayley gets to take her first trip to TN to spend some time with her grandparents, aunts, and uncles. We are hoping the she will be able to endure the flight and not make too much of a fuss.

As a family we are excited for Christmas. Kayley already has a few presents under the tree from her nana and papa Ray! We have a Christmas here in Provo on the 23rd before we leave. We figure Kayley doesn't want to wait until we get back from TN to see her presents...

The snow is here!

It has been snowing like crazy here for while! The snow always reminds me of one of my good friends Steve Pearson. I met Steve in 1999 when I first came to Utah. We have been friends ever since. I decided to post a video of Steve snowboarding so you can see just how good he is. So press the play button and enjoy. The entire video is Steve so you don't have to worry about which boarder is him. If the video pauses just give it a second, it will come back in.

Alyssa and I are doing well. The baby is growing fast. We are getting ready for finals right now so we are always pretty busy with things. Winter semester is almost here! Not only will I be able to finish up school (minus 1 or 2 classes) but I also get the chance to take a snowboarding class where I can refine my skills. Hey Stevo, maybe after that I can actually be good enough to board with you and not wreck myself too bad when I try and a pull a double backflip 180 tail grab to a nosebone mctwist.

Alyssa is a wonderful mother to Kayley. She is always doing everything to make sure she is getting well taken care of. We are looking forward to going to TN this Christmas to spend time with family and show off the baby even more.

Happy Thanksgiving!

It has been some time since the last post so I decided to put up a few more pictures. Kayley is getting bigger. We took her to her checkup and they told us she has grown 2 inches and gained a little more than a pound. She seems to be very healthy since the last time we had to take her into the hospital. She has been a wonderful little girl for us! Today we went to my Good friend Jang Lee's house for Thanksgiving. It is hard for Alyssa to travel very far still but Jang gave us the opportunity to eat dinner at his house in Alpine. Jang was excited to meet our little Kayley Faith. After eating a very nice dinner we had a little ping pong match where after like 20 mathces Jang walked away undefeated. It must be in his blood! lol It has been nice to get a break from school for a little bit and hang out with friends. Alyssa and I are doing well. We are having a good time raising Kayley. We have a hard semester ahead of us so Alyssa is deciding just how many classes she would like to take during the winter. She may decide to take less than planned depending on the baby and energy.

We welcome our new little girl!

Myspace Codes

On Oct 30th, Kayley Faith Ray was born. She was 7lbs, and 19 inches long. She has been such a good little baby for us. She doesn't really cry too much, and we hope it stays that way! But, at least when she does cry it is a cute cry. Alyssa is still recovering from the experience of course, but she will soon be back to a healthy state. She has been a wonderful mom to her little girl. Kayley is a strong baby. She can already lift her head and look around! That is amazing for a new born. We love her so much and we will post and send lots of pictures.

Anniversary

Alyssa and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary yesterday in Park City. We ate at Ciseros, the Italian restaurant I asked Alyssa to marry me at. It was a lot of fun being in Park City celebrating the day. Today we went and watched the undefeated BYU womens soccer team play the Utes. I should say once undefeated..the Utes beat us 1-0. We were pretty upset, but at least we got to cheer along with Cosmo. Can you spot Alyssa in the crowd?
